You've scheduled your Southern California boudoir photoshoot, and as one does, are now mentally preparing. So let's get you feeling comfortable. Note that depending on your boudoir photographer in Los Angeles, Orange County, or the surrounding SoCal areas, these can vary.

A few days before your luxury boudoir photography session, I want you drinking half your body weight in ounces of water everyday, this helps clear your skin or hydrate your skin and scalp, as well as reduce bloating, and other inflammation. Skin, for all types of skin do a clarifying or hydrating mask. mositurize always!! Dermaplane professionally, or if you know how, if you don't, not a big deal now is not the time to experiment! If you're getting a wax or spray tan get it 2-3 days before! The shower before your shoot, dry brush or exfoliate (shave if you plan to) and hydrate- use a body oil and your body lotion. If you're getting hair and makeup professionally done just come with clean, dry hair! Make sure your nails are clean just in case we get the close up that they're visible. Bruises, if you ask your makeup artist they may be able to cover them. If you're doing it yourself get a color corrector based on color theory, for red -use green, for purple/blue -use orange/red and vice versa. Your boudoir photographer likely can remove these in editing too but expect your images to take a little longer. We can also whiten your teeth this way, however if you want to be sure use whitening strips or brush with baking soda to give a little extra brightness. If you're bringing your own outfits make sure you try them on, better if there are no tags, a great opportunity to get into the vibe of feeling yourself, play around a little bit, do a model walk or talk yourself up in the mirror. On the day of, make sure you wear loose clothing we don't want any demarkations that might show when you change into your lingerie or apparel for your boudoir session in Southern California. If you're doing a rain/wet shoot- bring a towel and a plastic bag to put your wet attire. Don't forget any lip products that you may want to touch up before or during your shoot. Or shoes/heels! You got this! Nerves are normal, make sure you blast your favorite music on the way and give yourself time to park! You're going to have so much fun, and feel like a confident queen when you leave your luxury boudoir photoshoot! You got this!
